Girl Talk (aka Gregg Gillis) has released 3 albums on Illegal Art. With each release getting closer to his notorious semi-naked live show, his music bangs a continuous mix packed with wildly disparate Top 40 genres and eras.

Current hip hop hits, soft rock radio standards, party classics, grunge masterpieces, R&B singles, glossy club-shakers, and rock anthems are all layered and pieced meticulously together into one non-stop celebration of pop and excess. Only Girl Talk's magical touch could please both dance-crazed teenage masses and mashup geeks with equal love. Very recently he decided to totally go for a musical career.

Congratulations! You just quit your "regular job" and now live the life of a full time artist. How does that feel?

"It feels awesome. It's 1:45 PM, and I just got home from eating breakfast. I'm sitting in my underwear in front of a fan working on a remix with a friend. The past year has been insane in terms of running around and not having any time to dedicate to music."

So far you've released three albums. At the top of your sound there's hip hop, but at it's heartbeat you feature many sounds from '70s and '80s hit records. Tell us about your musical roots and interests.
